Well it is that time again. Time to recruit new players and get more sponsors. I hate to say it but funds have been low this year. We need to raise funds some how. We will probably have to raise the yearly dues in Fall 2008. Please do what you can.
I hope some of you Inline players will take advantage of the deal on joining both the SBHL and the SIHL (Starkville Ball Hockey League).
To make the Spring 2008 season happen we need commitments from at least 18+ players. That will give us 3 teams. Mind you it would be nice to have 4 or 5 teams. I will keep posting a magic # of players. My cut off date is January 27th 2008.

We will also need people to volunteer time keep and referee games. Please email and let me know what you can do.
The rink also needs some TLC as soon as possible. We will try to have a fix it day before the season.

Welcome to the Inaugural season of the Starkville Ball Hockey League! (The SBHL)
As you can see the website is a work in progress. Since it is our first season, there are no career stats, awards or people in the hall of fame yet. You the new players of this league get to set the standards.
Remember all you need are sticks, gloves and sneakers. But we suggest you wear helmets, mouth guards, protective cup and shin guards.
Each SBHL game will consist of three 15 minute periods, with two 5 minute intermissions.
If the score of the game is within two goals of each other, the last two minutes are stop time.
You play 4 on 4 plus goalies.
You will, weather permitting, play 12 games a season.
You get to keep your jersey at the end of each season.
Also at the end of each season, there will be an awards banquet.
Cost to join the SBHL $ 45/ season or $70/ year. Goalies who supply their own gear its $ 20/season.

We need people to canvass for sponsors. We will knock of 10% of what ever sponsorship money you bring in, from your membership dues.
